The Dire Dawa Testing Laboratory Center of the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise plays a vital role in protecting public health and safety. Previously, the country lacked the ability to test petroleum products domestically and provide quality assurance services. Establishing these facilities helps save a significant amount of foreign currency that the government used to spend on these services overseas.
