Welcoming Remarks on the Occasion of the Official Visit of the President of Liberia to Ethiopia

It is my distinct honour to extend a formal welcome to His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, to the National Palace on the occasion of his official visit to Ethiopia. Ethiopia and Liberia share longstanding and distinguished relations, rooted in a common history of resilience, having remained uncolonized, and in their pioneering roles as steadfast advocates for the independence and unity of the African continent. Today, as ever, Ethiopia’s table remains open and expansive, offering its immense potential and enduring friendship to all who walk alongside us. In this spirit, I am confident that this visit will mark a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between our two countries, anchoring our shared aspirations firmly in the bedrock of concrete action.
