The newly launched MESOB Mobile Bus Service
The newly launched MESOB Mobile Bus Service represents a major step toward bringing essential public services directly to communities. Designed as a fully equipped, self-contained service hub, the bus integrates modern technologies and efficient systems to ensure smooth and reliable operations. It features a queue management system to organize service flow and is supported by multiple payment options, powered in part by an 8-kilowatt solar energy system, and is equipped with a stable internet connection. Surveillance cameras are also installed to ensure safety and transparency throughout service delivery.
This innovative mobile unit delivers a wide range of critical services from multiple government institutions, including:
* Issuance of new Tax Identification Numbers (TIN)
* Business license issuance and renewal
* Medical examinations required for obtaining a driver’s license
* ID renewal and birth registration
* Driver’s license issuance and vehicle plate renewal
* Ethiopian Postal services, including road fund payments
* National ID registration and data correction
* Prepaid electricity services through the Ethiopian Electric Utility
Altogether, the Mobile Bus Service brings together services from eight different institutions, offering a convenient, efficient, and accessible solution that reduces the need for citizens to travel long distances or navigate multiple offices.
