Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Drives Development and Heritage Revival in Dire Dawa and Harar

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, together with First Lady Zinash Tayachew and senior federal and regional officials, conducted a two-day tour of development projects in Dire Dawa city and the Harari region.

The visit, held from February 29-30/2018 E.C highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at revitalizing urban spaces while preserving historical heritage.

The corridor developments in both cities have introduced significant transformations, particularly in older districts where modernization efforts are carefully balanced with cultural preservation.

These projects are enhancing the beautiful appeal of Dire Dawa and Harar, while also strengthening their role as centers of heritage and economic progress.

During the tour, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of community-driven development, agricultural innovation, industrial growth, and urban renewal. He emphasized that these initiatives are not only reshaping infrastructure but also fostering people-to-people integration.
