Ethiopia Advancing Leadership in Green Industry & Energy Transition

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to advancing green industrial development and energy transition, emphasizing that the country will strengthen the initiatives it has already begun.

Speaking at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, the Prime Minister highlighted Ethiopia’s achievements and shared its experience in sustainable growth. 

The summit, jointly organized by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, provided a platform for leaders to exchange ideas on Africa’s future industrial and energy pathways.

Prime Minister Abiy shared Ethiopia’s experience at the summit jointly organized by President Ruto and President Macron. He underscored that Ethiopia’s contributions to discussions on green industrial development and energy transition were particularly well received, with high-level ideas drawn from the nation’s ongoing efforts.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Ethiopia will continue to play a leading role in these sectors, consolidating its pioneering work and reinforcing its position as a regional model for sustainable industrialization and clean energy transformation.
