
Historical back ground
The Ethiopian governmental communication system was established in 1907, under the rule of Menilek II Former Emperor of Ethiopia. It is known as the pen minister, and the persons who are given this position are known as sahafa tezazaze and afaNegus. The first the minister was Safa Tezaze Akililu Habtawelde. During the Derge rule of law, the ministry of pen became as Ministries of Advertisement. The known author Baalu Girma became advertisement minister, and during EPDRF know communication ministry and know communication service the principal role of the communication minister in all regime was to be the government’s spokesperson.(went some editorial)
