September 9, 2018 During the 2018 fiscal year, the government is allocating more than 1.2 million hectares of land for coffee cultivation as part of a strategic effort to stimulate sector growth. This initiative aims to foster greater involvement from the private sector in expanding coffee farming nationwide. A primary focus of the plan is to promote modern agricultural practices, with mechanization playing a vital role in boosting efficiency and productivity. To attract and support investors, the government is also establishing a comprehensive system of incentives and support services designed to create a conducive environment for private sector participation.
