In a today’s media briefing Legese Tulu (Dr.) Minister of Government Communication Services, FDRE asserted the government’s unwavering commitment to sustaining economic growth and enhancing the living conditions of the community.
The Minister elaborated on the comprehensive macroeconomic reforms being implemented across various sectors, aimed at bolstering economic expansion and improving community welfare.
Legese Tulu (Dr) emphasized the necessity of constructing an economy that is resilient to global uncertainties while simultaneously leveraging existing capabilities. This strategy includes fostering the private sector, promoting creative industries, and advancing the digital economy, said.
The Minister also highlighted the government’s intention to cultivate a balanced economy, prioritizing key sectors such as manufacturing, mining, tourism, and digital innovation. Such an approach aims to alleviate the nation’s debt burdens through sustainable development financing.
According to the minister, the cores of home grown economic reforms are four critical pillars, the diversification of the micro-economy, enhancement of business efficiency, improvement of the investment environment, and the strengthening of governmental capacity for implementation.
In addition Dr. Legese assured the government’s dedication to increasing production and productivity across all sectors, ensuring market stability by addressing trade-related challenges. He delivered the public that measures are in place to prevent pressure on the micro-economy from adversely affecting society, with basic goods being distributed without restrictions.
The government allocates over 400 billion birr annually for essential goods, including fertilizers, fuel, and healthcare, underscoring its commitment to social welfare.
The Minister called upon all citizens to share the responsibility of sustaining economic growth, reinforcing the notion that collective effort is vital for national progress.
