“Africans have united to demand representation in the UN Security Council in comparable to their population size” –FDRE Government Communication Service

In a significant development during the ongoing African Union Summit, African nations have collectively agreed to advocate for enhanced representation in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) that appropriate the continent’s population size.

The State Minister of FDRE Government Communication Service, Mr. Tesfahun Gobezay, issued a statement regarding the ongoing African Union Summit last night and today.

In this the agreement underscores a shared commitment among African states to address the disparities in global governance and ensure that Africa’s voice is adequately represented in international decision-making processes, Mr Tesfahun explained.
