The Prime Minister will also attend the fourth Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit with the visit expected to facilitate pivotal trade, agriculture, aviation, cyber security, and investment agreements.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s visit to Vietnam strategically promoted Ethiopian renewable energy investment. The visit, specifically targeted Toyo Solar, a prominent Vietnamese solar power plant manufacturer.

Recognizing Toyo Solar’s recent expansion into Ethiopia at the Hawasa Industrial Park, Prime Minister Ahmed urged the company to deepen its commitment by establishing a local power plant factory. It aligns strategically with Ethiopia’s Green Legacy policy, aimed at sustainable development and addressing the nation’s growing energy needs.

The Prime Minister underscored the mutually beneficial nature of such an investment, highlighting the potential for significant contributions to Ethiopia’s green energy infrastructure while simultaneously offering Toyo Solar a strategic foothold in a rapidly developing market.
