“The Artificial Intelligence Institute, having relocated from its former site, is now housed in the former Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation premises in the heart of the city. The complex AII moved into has undergone an extraordinary infrastructural transformation in less than a year, resulting in an ergonomically advanced and highly conducive work environment for its employees. In just five years, the Institute has reached remarkable heights, reflecting the rapid pace at which AI is shaping every aspect of our lives, and underscoring the importance of ensuring that our nation actively participates in this global technological race. The Institute is driving AI interventions across health, agriculture, and the service sector, while also developing capabilities in cloud computing, large-scale data centers, data mining, robotics, and immersive technologies.

A newly launched AI startup center further strengthens this ecosystem, enabling individuals to enter with only an idea and receive support to prototype, incubate, and connect with private-sector investors; already, 200 innovators have benefited from this opportunity.“
