Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has addressed a parliament on diverse national issues

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has addressed to questions raised by members of the House of People’s Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) on a range of diverse issues today.
In this regard, Ethiopia’s economy demonstrates promising growth, underpinned by governmental initiatives and strategic planning.
A ten-year plan guides ongoing projects, evidenced by the 8.1 percent growth recorded last year, with aspirations for 8.4 percent this year.
Significant agricultural expansion is evident, with smallholder crop coverage increasing to 20.5 million hectares.
Wheat cultivation rose substantially to 11.5 million hectares, complemented by a total wheat coverage exceeding 7.7 million hectares, projected to yield 300 million quintals.
Corridor development projects are transforming living conditions of residents, particularly in Addis Ababa, where over 200 kilometers of roads and 30,000 parking spaces have been constructed. Riverside developments are also prioritizing long-term sustainability.
Above all, the corridor development initiative in Harar city exemplifies this progress, showcasing comprehensive urban renewal.
These developments, alongside maintained peace and security, are crucial components of Ethiopia’s continued growth trajectory in the future.
