History and politics is the lesson of our collective ability!
The great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is a lesson of endurance built by the call, sweat, knowledge and blood of the great Ethiopian children.
From now on, Ethiopia will be a fair user of the natural resources not a spectator. In Africa, the owner of the biggest dams not the owner of the longest river but not a spectator of the benefits.
There was no earthly force that stopped Ethiopians from achieving their dreams by working together with the help of the longest and challenging river of the world.
Renaissance has shown the power of the divided diversity of Ethiopia. It has proved that an exemplary effort and victory that will change the history and politics of the world in every century will come from Ethiopia.
In the 19th century, Ethiopians who overcame natural and man-made problems and litigated the victory of Adwa to the world’s freedom struggle. That victory is a big part of history that paid the struggle of anti-colonial regime as “before and after the victory of Adva”.
In the 21st century, Ethiopia has achieved Adwa II. A great victory has been recorded that can pay for the fair use of water as “before and after renaissance dam, African politics before and after renaison dam, international diplomacy before and after the renaissance dam”. This victory is for all Ethiopians and generations.
Renaissance has changed the narrative of they can’t to ‘Ethiopians can’t’. The conflict created by the messengers bought from among us and the pressure of international diplomacy, the unknowns of colonial era agreements and the trap of historical enemies have not cooperated with is a great victory; Renaissance.
Renaissance is a crucial factor in the development of Ethiopia and the independence of Africans. Renaissance has been challenging when the world should support it by generating renewable power, but it is a special project that has been succeeded by the collective efforts of Ethiopians.
For Ethiopians, Renaissance is not only a success, it is also a source of power, a source of wealth, and a tourist destination. Renaissance is an example of fair use for other flooded countries. Renaissance is the protection of lower flow countries from floods; keeping water that was wasted; getting adequate water throughout the year; and protecting their dams from being filled with abuse.
We should have supported such a useless dam, but our historical enemies have been trying to hinder our usefulness by forgetting its benefits and misleading their people. But they have not delayed us.
We Ethiopians are the people who have humanity and morality. We are the owners of humanity and morality by using the river that nature has given to us to hurt others. We have taken care of the enemy who came to destroy us by crossing the sea with no international human rights law, organization and implementation.
This is what we want the people of the lower streamed countries to know. But there is no earthly force that can hinder us from our journey to prosperity, take away our sovereignty and freedom, and prevent us from using our natural and historical resources. Renaissance is our lesson for this.
Together we can, we can!.
Congratulations to all Ethiopians and lovers of Ethiopia!
