National Initiatives Strengthening Ethiopia’s Economy and Honoring Its Flag
The 18th National Flag Day has celebrated with great passion at the Government Communication Service today.
Honorable Minister Enatalem Melese emphasized that milestones such as the Adwa Victory, the construction of the Grand Renaissance Dam, and the initiation of gas extraction and fertilizer production are pivotal in restoring Ethiopia’s economic strength and uplifting the dignity of its flag.
Mrs. Enatalem highlighted that these national endeavors, along with strides toward food sovereignty, are enhancing the pride and symbolism of our flag. The Minister called on leaders and professionals within the Government Communication Service to lead with commitment and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s prosperity.
A document prepared for the occasion was presented and discussed, covering the evolution of the state, the essence of the federal flag, legal frameworks, challenges in flag usage, and future directions.
State Minister Mr. Kebede Desisa concluded the discussion by underscoring the flag’s role as a symbol of sovereignty, unity, and national honor. He urged all to channel their efforts into initiatives that reflect and reinforce the flag’s significance.
Senior officials and all staff attended the event that held with theme of, “Our flag is for national unity, sovereignty, and the renaissance of Ethiopia.
